Our Philosophy

We recognize each child’s individuality and respect differences in learning aptitudes and speed. It is important that the child feels secure and at ease in the environment which is attractive, child-sized, bright, warm and inviting.

A great deal of time is spent preparing the environment and keeping it in order, clean and in good repair.  Materials are exchanged from time to time during the year and when activities are brought in, the children are expected to handle the materials respectfully.

There are firm limits against iStock photo #6destructive and anti-social behaviour.

Classroom activities are never conceived to promote or favour a particular religion. However, while keeping an open mind to all the different cultures, certain themes seen in class will refer to holidays  traditionally celebrated in Canada.

We believe children at this age assimilate easily and quickly. They are exposed to a variety of activities both structured and “free” to help incorporate French in their academic and every day lives.  All academic teachings incorporate an element of fun and are adapted to the children’s level of development. Our program is sufficiently flexible to respond to individual needs.
