Trottin-Trottinette was opened in 1983  in response to a growing need for children to be exposed to the French language in a preschool environment. French is introduced to children in a positive and enriched environment tailored to their needs, abilities and knowledge of French.  Every attempt is made to promote an appreciation of French language and a feeling of inclusion in French culture.

The themes seen in class are generally based on the calendar and holidays traditionally celebrated in Canada.

A new theme is introduced each month. Through these themes, activities are developed to explore verbal expression, initiation to mathematics, science, reading, handwriting, drawing, art and physical education...

We would ask that you please take your child to the washroom before school starts. We would also like to remind you that it is very important that you bring and pick up your child on time.

7:30 – 8:40: Arrival of children attending daycare, table games, computer time, and drama.

Our discipline is based on a positive approach which allows the children to develop self-confidence and the ability to negotiate their own problems.

1. An annual registration fee of $100.00 will be charged for each child attending Trottin–Trottinette preschool and/or daycare. Fees for the month of June will be held as a guarantee and will be cashed after final registration.

2. Monthly fees are payable the first of every month. Nine post dated checks are required to cover the months of September to June.

3. NSF (non sufficient funds) checks must be paid within 5 days of their return. An administrative fee of $15.00 will be charged.
